The blanching screw is used for blanching of, among others, vegetables, pastas, rice, bulgur, quinoa, etc. Blanching is a cooking technique where food is cooked for a short time after which it is rinsed with cold water so that the cooking process is interrupted. This can be a fully continuous process. The residence time is optionally adjustable by means of a frequency control. Since this screw is used to process food, it is made entirely in stainless steel. The addition of steam in the product stream or a separate water tank is optional.
