Thickening installation with slats
In the thickening installation with slats there are a number of obliquely placed plates arranged in parallel one above the other. The sediment is deposited on these slats and slides down. With this construction, the capacity of the thickening installation is significantly increased relative to conventional machines. A thickening installation with slats with the same capacity as that of a conventional installation takes up a lot less space and can, for example, be made mobile fairly simple. The opinions on the use of thickening installations with slats in the preliminary de-watering process differ. However, if the PE addition is done properly, the process is very efficient. In addition to a role in the preliminary de-watering process, this installation is also commonly used to treat filtrate before it is discharged into the surface water.
